The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with more than two million members. We are a society based upon faith in action that provides our members and families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic church, our communities, other families and our youth.
About our Council
Our Council is located at St Joseph the Worker Church in Victoria, BC. The Council was established on Feb 24, 2003 and currently has 98 members. We work closely with the parish and assist our pastor and parish staff on various projects and activities. Our members are active participants in the life of the parish.
The Grand Knight for 2020 – 2021 is John Vukovic.
Council Meetings
General meetings are held on the second Monday of the month in the church hall starting at 7:30 pm. However, in-person meetings are currently suspended due to Covid-19 concerns. On-line platform meetings are now scheduled at this time.
Council Activities
These are many of the activities that our council has participated in during the last number of years:
Bursary and Scholarship programs
Charity Appeal ticket sales. To raise funds for various worthwhile causes.
Christmas tree chipping fund raiser
Coats for Kids. Purchase of winter coats for needy children and youth in the community.
Consecration to the Holy Family for our parish families.
Culture of Life activities
Eyeglass collections for the third world
Family of the Month
Food for Families. During Lent we ask parishioners to donate food for the local food bank.
Free Throw and Soccer Challenge competitions at the local schools
Keep Christ in Christmas. Installation of Nativity scene. Some school programs.
Leave No Neighbour Behind. Major assistance with potato garden maintenance, harvest and delivery of potatoes to the Soup Kitchen and SSVP food bank.
